The Buying Process - Catalyst Developments

So how does the joint buying process and building process work?

  • Step 1

    Finance Pre-qualify

    Each buyer's finances are pre-qualified by a mortgage broker. Your ability to buy and build to a certain price amount is confirmed.

  • Step 2

    Buyer Matched

    Receive email confirmation from Catalyst Developments that you're a match with other finance-qualified buyers, and review their profile.

  • Step 3

    Confirm Your Match

    Each buyer now confirms their willingness to be matched to each other. Pay a "Buyer Matching Fee" to be matched and introduced to your future neighbours and building partners.

  • Step 4

    Meet & Engage

    Have a group meeting with an experienced property buyer's agent (who is working for you) and engage them to shortlist, research and negotiate the best sites for the group to build on together.

  • Step 5

    Loan Strategy

    At the same group meeting or shortly after, engage your mortgage broker. Have them work out the best loan strategy to purchase the block together and build together.

  • Step 6

    Design & Build

    Once a suitable property is successfully purchased, meet and engage a building designer and building consultant to tender out your plans to decide on the best builder for you.

  • Step 7

    Move In

    Once the building is complete, new titles are then issued. It's now time to move into your brand new, custom designed, well-research and well-negotiated home that you paid a wholesale price for!
